Product review: ADATA SU800 512GB 3D-NAND 2.5 Inch SATA III High Speed Read & Write up to 560MB/s & 520MB/s Solid State Drive

The best feature of this SSD is its latency.  In many uses, for example as a boot partition as my use case,  latency is the most important parameter for an SSD drive.

The weakest feature of the drive is that the body of the drive is plastic. Plastic will not be able to dissipate heat well as metal, which may effect the drive's reliability long term.

The highest read bandwidth was 401 MB/sec using 1000 MByte samples. The highest write bandwidth was 259 MB/second, also using 1000 MByte samples.

All tests were run on an 32G Intel Skylake iCore7 system running Fedora 24 Linux.  You will notice that I ran the tests for different file sizes. At small file sizes the overhead of the operating system has a large impact, as file sizes grow larger the SSD approaches it's maximum transfer rates.
