Product review: Poyday Microfiber Hair Towel Drying Wrap

 I have been using hair-drying wraps for a few years to preserve curls after washing my hair, so I have quite a bit of experience with these towels. These wraps are 80% polyester and 20% polyamide; they are not as absorbent as 100% cotton wraps. They are okay, but I don't like them as well as the cotton wraps.

I also prefer not to have a rubber band edge like these towels do, I can wrap it better with a straight edge.

Product review: Mario Badescu Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30

 

I like that this sunscreen is unscented and goes on clear, leaving no white cast.
It comes in a long and narrow tube, 1.5 oz.  The small tube is good for keeping in my purse to use on the go.  I also like that it is made in the USA.

Product review: MAEXUS Jar Opener Kit, 4 in 1 Jar Opener, ineffective jar opener tool

 

These tools did not work for me. At all. The jar opener claws are very wide; I can barely grasp them with one hand. Squeezing the claws requires a lot of strength, and it is much harder to open jars using the tool than using a grippy pad. I tried several jars, and I could not open a single one.

The tool to pull up can tabs worked better, but it is harder than using a bare hand, and it is easy to spill the can using the tool.

Product review: Dr.NOAH Kids Natural Toothpaste, Fluoride Free

 I hate the mint flavor, so I am always looking for non-mint toothpaste. I like how this toothpaste tastes, slightly lemony and not too sweet. Unfortunately, it is fluoride-free. I want cavity protection, so this can't be my main toothpaste.

Why not offer this nice-tasting toothpaste in with and without fluoride. I know other adults who always look for a good tasting fluoride toothpaste that is not mint-flavored.

Product review: ALLJOY Foot Warmers, USB Electric Heated Pad Feet Warmer

 

 My feet get cold in the winter, and I have purchased various things to keep them warm. I like this foot warmer because it generates comfortable heat, not too hot, that becomes uncomfortable over a short period of time.  

The feet warmer is sized 13.5" x 14", so you have to keep your feet very close together. I would have liked it to be a little wider for a more comfortable leg position.

The unit is controlled with one button and has three temperature levels: red setting 134°F, yellow 126°F, and green 115°F (note that the Amazon description has the settings backward). The heating element is just on one side of the pocket and is removable so that the outer pocket can be washed. The zipper separates the warmer into two separate pieces. There is a 2-hour auto-shutoff.

The foot warmer is powered by a standard Type-C USB cord. The cord in the package is 5 feet long. The power outlet is on the right side. I have to use an extension cord to use it.

Product review: KTS Finger and Toe Fungus Treatment Laser

 I waited until I had over a week of daily treatments to write this review. I see no difference so far; the instructions say to expect 12 weeks of daily treatments. However, I have collected a list of things I do not like about the device in one week of use.

This device is a clamp that clamps onto each toe you want to treat. Each treatment takes 7 minutes. If you have more than one toe affected, you need to spend 7 minutes on each toe one at a time. The device cannot be used while charging, so allow charging time for each use. As you can tell, this treatment is time-consuming. I also find the pressure on each toe from the clamp uncomfortable. You need to avoid getting the light into your eyes, so do not turn it on until the device is attached to your toe/finger.

So far, I can only give it two stars. I will post an update if I see any improvement in 11 more weeks.

Product review: Ineffective Safer Brand Safer Home SH400 Indoor Spider Trap

 

I'm writing this review after 13 days of using these traps. I set out two of them, they are both covered with spider webs, but caught no spiders inside them.  Useless.

These traps are made out of very sticky tape. They are in-door traps that should not get wet. I put them in the basement, where I saw spider webs.

Folding instructions are very unclear. Minimal diagrams do not show clearly how to fold and are not to size. The cardbox can be folded in multiple ways, and in my video, I show two of them, as I was not sure if either one of them was right.  I found it is easier to work with, if you prefold the cardboard before exposing the sticky area.
