Product review: Weotca wood step stool, cherry colored

 

 This step stool has three heights: 7.2", 8.3", and 9.2". The wood board sitting/standing area is 11.8" x 15.7". The thickness of the board is 1/2".  7.2" is the height of the legs, we need to add the thickness of the board to get the minimum height. The minimum height is closer to 7.8".

The Amazon description claims it can support up to 300 pounds in one place and up to 500 pounds in another part in the description. The different claims are someone disturbing, and I have not been able to verify which one is right as I don't have weights high enough to reach either weight. But it feels sturdy when my 205-pound husband stands on it.  

Amazon's description includes a helpful assembly video by WeoTca, the manufacturer.  The assembly was easy, everything fit well.

This step stool looks much more attractive than the plastic step stools I have used in the past. I don't need to hide it when it is not in use!  The wood is similar in color to cherry wood.

Product review: JARKLIN Geotextile 5oz 3ft X 50ft Weed Barrier Landscape Fabric Heavy Duty Weed Block

 

 I have been using weed fabric for many years, and this fabric looks much heavier than the previous types I have used. The top of the fabric is a shiny type weave, and the bottom has a fuzzy feel to it. When I look through the fabric with the light behind it, the light barely comes through. This was not the case with the other fabrics; I could see the light shining through. Despite the tight weave, the water goes through the fabric just fine. It will take a couple of seasons to see how this weed fabric holds up, but I am happy so far.

Product review: SKYBESS Monitor Light Bar

 

 This is my second monitor light bar, so I have a base for comparison. I have used a monitor light bar for about six years, and I love it. I now work remotely and have many more computers at home, so I decided to get another light. Skybess light disappointed me for two reasons.

1. I have four monitors, Skybess light bar can be clipped only to two of them. It is not universal! The two larger monitors are too thick, and the clip slips off and cannot stay on the monitor.
2. On the two monitors where the clip works, the angle of the light is bad. It beams into my eyes; I am not able to change the angle enough the way I can control the BenQ bar.  The swivel does not have enough rotation.

If Skybess were my first light bar, I would never want another one. Very disappointed.

Product review: HUMILABS Dehumidifier 1500 Sq. 67.5 oz

 

Humilabs unit is a nice-looking white humidifier with a capacity of 67.5 oz.
It is 10 inches tall, 8.5 inches wide, and 18 inches tall.
It weighs 23 pounds, which is much easier to handle than my old humidifier, which weighs 80 pounds.  Humilabs dehumidifier has wheels that allow me to move it around easily.

The electric cord is 5 feet long, and it has a regular three-prong plug.

Humilabs humidifier is very quiet, so it is a good fit for a bedroom or study, not just a basement.  Its capacity is not huge, 2 liters, which is 67.5 oz, but it comes with a tube that can be used for auto-drainage if you have an outlet for the water.

I like that the water tank comes with a cover, which helps not spill water when I need to drain the tank manually.  When the tank is full, the humidifier stops to prevent spills.

This weekend we had a humid day where I could judge how the dehumidifier worked, and I could tell it made in difference in about two hours.

Product review: Phorra Wet or Dry Women's Electric Razor

 

 This is a lady's electric shaver with two combs. It is light and maneuverable; the head is not too large. It has a strong motor, yet it is not too loud. It does a great job trimming unwanted hairs in one pass.

It is rechargeable with a regular Type-C cable, so there is no fear of losing a proprietary cable like some other shavers. I like it a lot.

Product review: Spa Sciences Ziva Lady Shaver

 

This is a lady's electric shaver with a comb. This shaver is pretty heavy. One problem I had was that I could not remove the head for cleaning. It has a button on the back, but I could not move it, and the documentation did not have enough information to show how it was supposed to work.

The shaving action was okay, but I felt hair pulling now and then.

The battery is rechargeable using a proprietary cable. Before the first use, the shaver should be charged for 12 hours.

The shaver feels solid, but the fact that I could not open the head and felt hair pulling resulted in a 3-star rating.

Product review: Hair Brush Cleaner Tool, Hair Brush Liner for Detangling Combs and Brushes

 

This product is a mesh placed on the base of the hairbrush, and when hair accumulates on the brush, the mesh is removed pulling off all the accumulated hair.  You need to start with a clean brush; it only works on the newly shed hair.  This liner makes an unpleasant task easier.  The same net can be used many times.
