These light weight water shoes run a bit small. Size 8.5 was just right for me with a thin sock when I normally wear 7.5 or 8 size shoes. My favorite feature of the is the tie-less shoe lace which is perfect for kayaking when the shoe laces get wet and unrully. Each shoe weighs 9.4 oz. These shoes are comfortable to wear all day long, either walking or getting them wet in a kayak.
The top of the shoe is made from mesh and synthetic leather. In the video I show them with the light shining through the side of the shoe to show the mesh. The shoes feel cool in hot weather because the sides and the top are just the mesh. The bottom is made out of rubber (greenish material) and EVA plastic. The sole of the shoe is fairly smooth. It would have been nice if the sole was a little more textured for better traction. But overall this is a very nice shoe.
