The battery fits the phone, but it was not a seamless fit because the wires are coming out of the opposite side of the battery, and therefore it was hard to position the wires in a way that allowed the battery cover to close firmly. This is because the phone case allowed room for the wires in a different location from how the Amazon battery was wired.
The connector plugs into the case very firmly. To unplug the old battery, I had to use needle nose pliers to pull the plug up without damaging it. You don't need to squeeze anything; just pull straight up. The wire plug is keyed, it only goes in one way.
The batteries arrived charged. My old battery still has enough juice to operate, so I plugged the new batteries to test that they fit and fully charge them for storage, waiting for when the original battery reaches the end of life.
