Product review: Review of FRESINIDER Elastic Bandage Wrap

 

I received four packs, two 3" wider and two 4" wide bandages, each 15 feet long.  The bandages are not the type that sticks to themselves; they come with clips that hold them closed.  Twelve clips are attached to the bandages, and the package includes 12 spare clips as they might get lost or broken during extensive use.  Good bandages.

Product review: The Shake2 Matcha Green Tea Set- Premium First Harvest Ceremonial Grade, Japanese Blend from Kagoshima - Organic Powder with Shaker Bottle

 

This listing contains a small package 1 oz packet of Macha and a shaker bottle.  The bottle and the drinking spout are made out of plastic (not clear what kind of plastic as it is not marked, not described as BPA-free).  The cap is metal.

The bottle is average at best; the type of plastic is not specified; any wide mouth bottle will work just as well.

The Matcha powder is pretty good quality. It just matcha powder; nothing else is mixed in for flavor. I add lemon juice and a bit of sugar to the mixture to give it some flavor.

Product review: Nextirrer NIOSH Certified N95 Respirator Mask

 

I test each mask I buy using a water test.  I fill each mask with water and hold the water in a mask for about a minute. Then I examine if the mask starts to drip, has become wet on the outside, or remained dry on the outside of the mask.  If a mask cannot hold water, it cannot protect me from contaminated droplets.

This mask did well on the test; after I held water in it, the outside of the mask remained totally dry.  When I poured the water out of it and shook it, it shed water, and the inside felt dry.

The mask fits very comfortably. It has a stiff nose piece that can be shaped around my nose; on the inside, the nose piece is cushioned with foam, so it feels more gentle on my skin.

The elastic straps go around the head (not the ears), so the mask fits tighter and forms a good seal.

The mask is made in China but has NIOSH-N95 certification on the box and the mask itself.

Product review: SuMade 100% Ultrathin Waterproof Golf Socks, Men Women Breathable Hiking Running Cycling Ankle Socks

 

 My shoe size is 7.5, and I got X-Small Size rated for women 5.5-7.5. The fit is good, very snug but not too small.  The socks are low; they end below the ankle. They feel fuzzy inside and outside.  To test breathability, I covered my nose with the sock; yes, I can breathe through it. I also tested it by pouring water into the socks. Yes, it holds water.

Product review: Diffusers for Essential Oils, 150 ml Matte Ceramic Essential Oil Diffuser

 

We have forced hot air heat, so we have several humidifiers around the house to combat very dry air. This diffuser generates a small mist even on the high setting. It does not produce much light while misting; just a small ring of color, but I like that as I do not need a light show.  The ceramic finish is nice-looking; it looks better than plastic, and the black color makes it unobtrusive.

Even though it is not the best diffuser I own (it does not have a remote, its mist is on the small side), it meets my basic requirements.

Product review: Gominyuf Electric Lady Shaver Trimmer

 

 This shaver is not the best I have tried, but also not the worst.  The head is 1.75" wide. Sometimes it takes a couple of swipes to remove the hair, but it works without pulling my hair or irritating my skin.

It operates on one AA battery (which is NOT included).  I am using it with a rechargeable battery, and that works well.

The kit also contains 50ml sanitizer.  It is totally unscented, and I really like that. Alcohol scent evaporates quickly, whereas perfume lingers for a long time. I  prefer unscented sanitizers like this one.  

Finally, the package includes a package of 25 wipes. The Amazon description describes the wipes as 72% alcohol; however, the wipe's package only lists Benzalkonium Chloride as the active ingredient, not alcohol.  CDC recommendation for COVID wipes still recommends alcohol.

Product review: VELMADE Fogless Shower Mirror, 360 Degree Rotating

 

 This mirror attached well to my bathroom wall.  The suction is strong, and the mirror stayed up for a week (so far and counting). The mirror has a mounting bracket that allows me to rotate the mirror, positioning as I need.  I use it when I wash off color after I color my hair.  I like how it does not fog up while I wash my hair.

I have been using callus removers for several years. This callus remover has two unique features: (1) Instead of the roller that I have been using for years, this callus remover has three round heads. (2) This callus remover is a build-in vacuum. Instead of seeing skin powder fall on the floor or shaking out the skin powder from the head,  this callus remover sucks it inside, and then you need to clear out the internal container.  The callus remover is waterproof so that you can put the head and the container under water to wash out (keeping the battery compartment dry).

The callus remover has a built-in battery. It has a blinking red circle while charging, which becomes steady red when fully charged.

I have a callus on the bottom of my foot. If it gets too thick, it bothers me when I walk, and I used to see a podiatrist so he could grind it down for me. Then I discovered electric callus removers, and they work as well as what my podiatrist does. I use the callus removers dry; they are not painful at all; they remove dry skin in a very thin layer. I worked a few seconds at a time, checking the result not to remove too much skin.  I  have not been back to a podiatrist since I began using electric callus removers a few years ago.

I really like the vacuum option. If you need to work a small area as I do, you can use just one of the heads.  This callus remover is the first time I am using this type of head rather than a roller, and I like it.  I would love to have a slim version of this callus remover, one round head but with a vacuum just like this one.

Product review: LiWell from South Korea, Air Pressure Hand Massager, Wireless, Hand Acupressure

 

The hand massage squeezes your hand with air-filled buffers. It is not as good as a human physical therapist's pressure massage, as the machine applies pressure to the entire hand surface.  It puts pressure from the fingers to the wrist.  If you want to imagine what it feels like, think of the blood pressure cuff used by your doctor.  This machine has a hand pocket that feels very similar to the blood pressure cuff applied to your hand. I thought it felt okay; I can't say it felt good or great.

The biggest issue I had with the unit is that its button labels are pink on pink background. I cannot read a single label; there is not enough contrast. I had to refer to the box, which has a picture of the top panel with black labels, to figure out even how to turn it on. The power button is not a corner button as one would expect.  Maybe young people with acute vision can read those low contrast labels? If you are over 40, make sure to keep the box to figure out what button does what.  I am sure the product has not been well tested with people of different ages for user interface design usability.

Product review: Upgrade Quiet Facial Hair Remover For Women,Gominyuf Painless Hair Removal Mini Lady Shaver

 

This shaver looks like a large lipstick. I would not call it stylish, but I would call it discrete.  It runs on one AA battery (which is NOT included in the package).  It is relatively quiet while it operates. It turns on a bright light at the end of the shaver, which I find to be more of a hindrance than a help. It reflects from my skin, and I cannot see anything it is doing. I need to move the shaver away from my face to locate the small hairs I want to remove.  I wish there were a way to disengage the light.  The unit is turned on by rotating the head. It does a good enough job removing the hair. It is not as good as Panasonic shaver, but good enough.

Product review: Review of Amazon Basics Cordless Phone Replacement AT&T Battery - Replaces BT183342, BT283342, BT166342, BT266342, BT162342, BT262342

 

I bought this battery for AT&T EL51203 DECT 6.0 Phone with Caller ID/Call Waiting, with Cordless Handsets (ASIN B00N22M0XS).

The battery fits the phone, but it was not a seamless fit because the wires are coming out of the opposite side of the battery, and therefore it was hard to position the wires in a way that allowed the battery cover to close firmly.  This is because the phone case allowed room for the wires in a different location from how the Amazon battery was wired.

The connector plugs into the case very firmly. To unplug the old battery, I had to use needle nose pliers to pull the plug up without damaging it. You don't need to squeeze anything; just pull straight up.  The wire plug is keyed, it only goes in one way.

The batteries arrived charged. My old battery still has enough juice to operate, so I plugged the new batteries to test that they fit and fully charge them for storage, waiting for when the original battery reaches the end of life.

Product review: YUESUO 7 Layer Disposable Face Masks Filter Efficiency -> failed the water test

 

 I test each mask I buy using a water test.  I fill each mask with water and hold the water in a mask for about a minute. Then I examine if the mask starts to drip, has become wet on the outside, or remained dry on the outside of the mask.  If a mask cannot hold water, it cannot protect me from contaminated droplets.

This mask did not do well on the test; after I held water in it, I could see that the mask's outside surface became shiny and darker from being soaked.  Even though it did not drip like a cloth mask, it did not do as well as the other disposable masks I have tested.

This package contains ten masks individually wrapped masks.  The masks have a metal nose clip and loops that go around the ears. The masks are large and cover a large portion of my face.  The ear straps feel comfortable, and the mask fits without gaps.  However, because it did not hold water without letting it seep through the mask, I cannot rank it as a good mask.

Product review: 7 Layer Disposable Face Masks Filter Efficiency, Brand: YUESUO -> Failed the water test

 

 

I test each mask I buy using a water test.  I fill each mask with water and hold the water in a mask for about a minute. Then I examine if the mask starts to drip, has become wet on the outside, or remained dry on the outside of the mask.  If a mask cannot hold water, it cannot protect me from contaminated droplets.

This mask did not do well on the water test.  After I held water in it for about one minute, the mask became soaked with water. I could see that the outside of the mask has become wet.  Even though it did not drip heavily like a cloth mask, it did not do as well as the other disposable masks I have tested.

This package contains 20 masks individually wrapped masks.  The masks have a metal nose clip and loops that go around the head, not the ears. The masks are large and cover a large portion of my face.  The rubber bands are very tight even though I do not have a large head and usually do not experience discomfort wearing masks.  The masks did not feel comfortable, but the tightness provided a close fit.  Despite a few positives, because the mask in my test did not hold water without letting it seep through the mask, I cannot rank these masks as good.
