Product review: AWD Medical Dressing Retention Tape

This retention tape is nice.  It has one sticky side covered by a removable backing and one soft woven side.  Backing removes easily and cleanly (the backing has a slit in the middle for easy removal).  The tape adheres to the skin well and is also easy to removes. It does not hurt my skin even after using it for several days in the same area.  The tape is 2" wide, I am using it on toes, and it works well.

Product review: DONG NI Stainless Steel Skinny Tumbler, 20 oz Double-Insulated Water Tumbler Cup Vacuum Travel Mug

I would not call this tumbler skinny. It is 2.75" wide at the bottom and 3.5" wide at the top.  It just fits into my car's cup holder.  It is plastic on the outside and stainless steel on the inside with a transparent plastic cover. The cover has a sliding opening valve.  It is leak-free, it works well.

Product review: Johnson's Baby, CottonTouch Newborn Baby Wash and Shampoo with No More Tears

I like how this wash smells (light floral scent) and feels (good lather).  This wash gives a very nice and gentle wash.

However, the bottles are tough to open.  There is a piece of plastic on the front of the cap that needs to be removed before it will open. The bottle should have had some instructions.

Product review: Gold Bond, Medicated Talc Free Foot Powder

When it gets hot, I sweat a lot, and I purchased several different kinds of Gold Bond powder.  I was unsure of the differences between them, and I wanted to see which one would work best for my needs.

Looking at their ingredients, the only difference between them is the amount of the active ingredient, which is menthol. The label says that its purpose is anti-itch.  The foot powder strength contains 1% of menthol. For comparison, original body powder contains 0.15% menthol.

What could be better? I wish the bottle had an extra cap. The bottle opens and closes by twisting the cap. However, some powder remains outside the cap, and I hate, really hate, having powder drop on the floor.  I wish I had a cap to make sure that does not happen.

Ingredients

Active Ingredients: Menthol (1 %). Purpose: Anti-Itch. Inactive Ingredients: Corn starch, Zinc Oxide, Acacia Senegal Gum, Eucalyptol, Methyl Salicylate, Salicylic Acid, Thymol, Zinc Stearate

Product review: 30SecPedi by RenBach Corded Electric Callus Remover for Feet

I have been using battery-powered callus removers for many years. The unique feature of this callus remover that it is corded. It also uses disks rather than rollers for abrasion. It is more powerful, which may seem like a good thing, but it is much easier to hurt yourself with it.  Even using a mild (not coarse) disk and a low speed, I felt it was too easy to remove too much skin.

It certainly is not 30 seconds treatment; it took me longer to use it than a battery-powered callus remover because I had to be so careful using it. If the speed was too low, then it stops when I pressed it against my foot. My callus is on the side of the foot, and this tool works best on flat surfaces. It did not work well on the curves of my foot.

Coarse and mild disks are both yellow and hard to tell apart. It would have been better if they had different color for safety.

This callus remover also does not have a vacuum, which my battery-powered callus remover has. It is very nice when I don't have to vacuum the floor to clean the skin powder that falls off during the treatment.

Overall, this model works but not as well for me as the battery-powered callus remover with a roller.

Product review: First Aid Spray & Bug Bite Relief by Oleavicin

This medication comes in a tiny spray tube.  It is expensive for small amount you get, however the tiny tube takes very little space, which is a good thing. The liquid it sprays has no scent and does not feel oily. The bite felt better overnight.  Not sure if it would have been the same if I did nothing, but I felt better applying the preparation.

Product review: MEDICMAC Hot and Cold Therapy Socks, with Removable Gel Packs

I have a small foot (7.5 shoe size), and I was concerned about that one-size-fits-all will be too large on me. Surprisingly, these sock fit ok.

These socks have two pockets and two ice packs. One on top of the foot and one under the foot, including the heel.  They work pretty well. Right now, I am using the ice, but they will work well for heat as well.
