Product review: Gold Bond No Mess Talc-Free Body Powder Spray

 

 The spray bottle is very hard to open. I had to use tools to remove the plastic guard; twisting it did not remove it, and with the plastic in place, it does not spray.  Now the cap falls off easily, but at least it sprays. The mechanism is too fussy.

The spray leaves my feet very wet; I have to wait a good while until they dry. Seems like this counterproductive. I use powder to deal with the wetness of the sweat, and the spray adds a lot more wetness.

The scent is very strong menthol. I do not like how it smells.

Product review: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polish, Shade Peach Please 051

 

This nail gel does not spread as smoothly as other gels.  The peach color was exactly as I expected. It removes easily with regular acetone.

Product review: BISSELL Power Fresh Steam Mop, Floor Steamer, Tile Cleaner, and Hard Wood Floor Cleaner

 

Bissell power fresh steam mop lived up to my expectations. It cleans well and feels like a well-built mop.  Assembly was easy, just two steps.  I was glad that the scent discs are optional, as I don't like extra perfume in the air.  The steam does not leave the floor too wet, and it dries quickly.  I was pleased to see that the cord is 24 feet; its long reach makes it easy to work with it.  It comes with a carpet glider and two mop head covers, and two scent disks.

Product review: Yechen Sofa Side End Table, Snack Side Table C Shaped Table for Coffee Laptop Tablet

 

This table comes with good easy to follow instructions.  It took about 10 minutes to put it together.  Everything fit together easily; all the tools I needed were included.  The table is pretty steady, with no shaking. It rolls easily, two of the wheels have breaks.  I like that it is narrow and I can fit into many places.  The table dimensions are: 22” L x 14” W x 26” H

My primary use for this table is as an extension to a computer desk. It is the same height as my rolling computer table. This extension gives me more room for the computer mouse at the same level as my keyboard.

Product review: CAFEC 40-Pack Cone-shaped V60 02 Style Universal 1 to 4 Cup Disposable Coffee Paper Filter

 

  These filters are made out of Abaca, which is a species of banana native to the Philippines. The fiber is made out of leaf and stems of the plant. These filters have more texture than the coffee filters I am used to, but they work fine.
  The filter should be folded along the seam before use. Instructions explain that this protects the filter from leaking as no adhesive is used to hold it together; the two edges are pressed together. Without the fold, the filter may tear at the bottom and drop grounds into the coffee.
 
  Side note: Ground coffee works great in a composter.  Because these filters are made out of banana leaves, they are compostable, and I can neatly put both the filter and the grounds into the composter.

These pillboxes are roomy! Each one is 1.25" wide by 2.25" long and 1" deep.  There is a total of 14 boxes, seven on top and seven on the bottom.  The pillboxes close well. I have been looking for a big pillbox for traveling, and this will work well.

Product review: Lansinoh Peri Bottle for Postpartum Care

 

This portable bidet has a very weak stream. It barely reaches the target, if you know what I mean. It is not as good the Giraf model I owned for a few years.  In this review, I will compare the differences.

A few years ago I purchased Giraf portable bidet after a surgery when I was not allowed to take showers for several weeks.  It worked great.   Then came along COVID-19 and a toilet paper shortage and the usage of the bidet bottle went up for everyday use so we could cut down on the amount of the toilet paper needed.  

I really have grown to like it and even though toilet paper shortage is not a problem it became a regular part of my routine. I decided to get another one to have one in every bathroom and was disappointed.

Why is this model not as good as the Giraf model?

1. It is missing the special valve on the bottom that lets the air escape
   Why is this important?
    (1) This bidet does not produce as strong of a stream as the Giraf model. 
    (2) This bottle starts the stream as soon as you turn it upside down, so you don't have time to aim to avoid getting water on clothing. Giraf model gives you time to aim to keep everything else dry.

2. It is made out of harder material that soft sillicone of the Giraf model
    Why is this important?
    It is harder to squeeze and one of the reasons the flow is weak and the water does not go as far.

It works, but not as well as the model with the valve.
