Product review: ABUSA Women's Fringe-Trimmed Calf Leather Ankle Boot

These boot are beautiful and feel very nice to touch.  They are made of nice quality suede, it is very smooth. The tassel on the outside make them look dressy, the color is very attractive burgundy color.

My shoe size is 7.5 and I got size 8 of this boot. Size 8 is true to size, its a little large for me but works fine with a thick sock. The boot opens with a zipper on the side.  They reach just above my ankle and have 1 inch heel.  They are very comfortable.

The boot is made out of suede leather top and rubber sole. The sole is lightly textured, it has some texture but not a lot. I hope the video gives you a better idea of what they look like.  I am very pleased - good looking and comfortable.

Product review: KINGLAKE® Aluminum Outdoor Camping Hammer Multi-function Hammer Tent Stakes Hammer Tent Nail Hammer Stake Puller

This compact hammer feels very solidly made.  It is well balanced.

It has three useful tools - a hammer, a small hoe, and a hook which can be used as a tent stake puller.
Overall, I really like the hammer.  The only negative thing I can say about it that the seller had a UPC sticker with attached with a glue that was hard to take off. I had spend quite a bit of time with Goo-fone trying to remove the gunk from the handle.  Sellers, please attach the sticker to the packaging not the product.

Product review: Gogyre Portable Charger 21200mAh Power Bank Digital Display High Capacity 2-Port USB Output

This external battery has a large capacity of 212000 mAh and two ports for charging.  It takes me 12 hours to fully charge the battery from almost fully discharged state to full.

This external battery does not have a smart charging chip, which means one port (1A) is better (i.e. faster charging at AC rate) for Android and one port (2A) is better for Apple devices.  If you try charging your Android phone on 2A port you get USB charging, not AC  charging.


The battery is fairly compact for this capacity. It weighs 15.9 oz, 6" x 3" x 3/4".  I have been using this battery for just about 2 weeks as I write this review. It holds the charge quite well (very little loss when disconnected) and the capacity rating to appears to be accurate.

The battery does not support charge through charging (i.e. it cannot charge while being charged).

The battery has a built-in flashlight.  The flashlight is not bright, I find it only marginally useful.

Product review: CEVAL Long Arm Squeegee Cleaner - 43" Detachable Handle with Dual Triggers

This window washes does a nice streak free job. What is nice that it has two trigger mechanisms - one near the head  and one on the end near the handle. You can use either one when the washer is in its longest configuration, or you can use the one near the head when you are not using the long handle.

The washer also has a built-in squeegee.  To use it I just need to flip the washer and the squeegee does a nice job.

It works really well.  Getting this washer motivated me to wash all windows which I have not done in a few years, I was done very quickly!  First I used the built-in spray to remove most of the dirt, then I dipped the head in a bucket of water to clean it off and to make it soap free. The I squeezed the water out of the head with my hand (to get streak free results it helps to use as little water as possible). The I went over the window with clean water and then another pass with a squeegee.  Clean windows and no streaks!

Product review: Vertical Mouse, URGEAR 2.4G Wireless Vertical Ergonomic Optical Mouse

I can't say that I prefer a vertical mouse to a regular mouse, but I recently developed a shoulder problem which make my arm hurt when I hold it in a regular mousing position.  This vertical mouse turns my hand and thus the shoulder about 30 degrees and the change in position reduces the pain. 

On the first attempt to use it  I thought the mouse was defective.  It showed no signs of light.  This was because I did not notice a tiny slide switch on the bottom of the mouse.  If you do not see the red light at the bottom make sure the slide is in at the stop of the slot if you hold in a way that you can read the writing on the bottom.

The shape of the mouse is comfortable.  The right and left mouse click are done by the same fingers as on a regular mouse. In addition there are two buttons that can be clicked by the thumb for moving between pages.

Overall, I like the shape of the mouse and how response it is. This mouse works both on Windows and Linux.

However, it has a few negatives as well.
(1) It is charged with a round cable, not with a standard mini USB cable. If you lose or break the cable you cannot charge the mouse.  This round cable did not fit the mouse port easily, I had to push it harder than I liked.  When the mouse is charging there is no indicator that it is charging and that is has been fully charged.  If the mouse is turned off then there is no lights, if the mouse is turned there is no light other than the normal light at the bottom of the mouse.

(2) The nano transmitter cannot be stored inside the mouse (it came in a plastic baggy). This means it is easy to lose make the mouse non-functional. Nano transmitter has no logo to identify that it belongs to this mouse, which means it is easy to mix up with other Nano transmitters. I put my own paper label on the back, so I know what it is.

I spend almost the entire day with a mouse in my hand so I am very sensitive to the mouse shape. I like having an option to change my arm position.

Product review: Window Bird Feeder, Aquiver Clear Acrylic

We have a large number of bird feeders including four different window bird feeders. This bird feeder has one key feature that our feathered friends like. The birds love the little perch. In my video you can see how they use it to crack the seeds. We have another window bird feeder of a different style which does not have a perch and it was less popular until we glued a perch made out of a twig. As soon as we added this twig the bird feeder became more popular.

This is a wide bird feeder (11.75") but pretty short (5.75" tall). It is 4.25" front to back. I was not sure if our larger birds (blue jays and morning doves) will find it a bit short, but turns it is not a problem as you can see in the video. Several birds can visit it at the same time. Many birds do not mind sharing. Some do, and it is fun to watch the bully birds that make other birds leave.

These bird feeders are not squirrel proofed, but as most bird watchers know there is no bird feeder that can stop a determine squirrel. For example, they learned to shake the bird feeder which closes under the weight of a creature that is heavier than a bird. So we no longer fight with squirrels, we just add more seeds to feed all creatures big and small.

The bird feeder is held by three suction cups. They provide sufficient suction power to hold the feeder, the seeds, the birds, and the squirrels. This bird feeder has a removable tray which makes it easier to clean.  The suction cups that came with bird have a metal hook.  The metal hooks are not necessary for this beedfeeder and I removed them.  Some acrylic birdfeeders have a hole at the top of pointy roof, then the hook is used and is inserted into the hole. However, in this flat birdfeeder the suctions cups are inserted into keyhole opening and the hooks just get in the way.  It is okay to leave them in if someone does not want to bother removing them but they make it harder to insert suction cups into the keyhole openings.

Does the rain get into it? Yes. But the birds do not seem to mind. They are used to wet seeds on the trees.

What fun to see the birds so up close! If this is your first bird feeder it will likely that the birds will take a week to find it. For the first window bird feeder nothing happened for entire week, and then after a week my husband spread some seeds under the bird feeder and that seemed to help the birds find it. Now that we have a couple of window bird feeders it did not take them long to find the new one. The bird's favorite seeds are sunflower seeds. We spoiled the local bird population with sunflower seeds and if we put out the mixed seeds it barely gets touched where as the sunflower seeds disappear very quickly.

I was provided this bird feeder by Aquiver for testing and review. I let the video be the final judgment for this bird feeder. It looks to me that both the birds and the squirrels are giving it 5 stars as we need to refill it every day.

Product review: Monclaire 10x10 inch Bamboo Baby Washcloths

This listing contains 6 washcloth in 5 colors (two washcloths are white). These washcloths are very soft.  The washcloth have neatly finished edges.  Baby washcloths become more absorbent after you wash them a few times, so I put them through 6 wash cycles and the edges remained tightly finished, nothing unraveled.

The washcloth size is 10 7/8" x 10" in size.  They are aimed at babies but I got them for my mother. My mothers skin is very sensitive and became more sensitive with age, so these super soft washcloths really work well for her. She prefers them because cotton washcloths feel rougher on her skin.
