Product review: Fecolmena Round Aluminum Foil Liners Papers for Air Fryer

 

Fecolmena Aluminum Foil Papers are basically pre-cut aluminum foil. The papers are very thin and do not hold their shape; they fold in the air fryer due to airflow. I hoped they would be similar to aluminum pans which I often use in my air fryer, but they have no stiffness at all. If one wants liners with aluminum foil thickness, using aluminum foil rolls and cutting or folding the sheets into round shapes is much more economical than using these liners.

Product review: Feteulo Large Wall Calendar July 2023 - December 2024

 

This is an 18-month calendar with full pages months from July 2023 to December 2024.  Each daily square is 1.75" tall and 2" wide.

I used to order beautiful Lang calendars, which are not only practical but decorate, but in the last few years they got pretty expensive, so I decided to try this style of calendar which is less pricey. This calendar has no images; calendar info is printed on one side of a relatively thin paper (compared to Lang textured thick paper). The finish is flat (i.e., not glossy), so it takes well to pen and pencil for notes.

The calendar is wider than the Lang standard; instead of 12" wide, they are 15" wide. It requires a bit more space, but gives more room for notes.  

The calendar has a metal hang inserted into a spiral that holds the pages, and this hanger works very well: it is easy to flip pages and never tears like a single hole in a Lang calendar.

Bottom line: this calendar is not as attractive as Lang calendars but it is practical and works well for those who like to make notes on the calendar.

Product review: ADRIONE Satin Hair Scrunchies for women 60 Pack

 

There are good and bad things about this set of scrunchies.
I like:

1. The selection of colors is nice, even though there are many color repeats. The set has 60 pieces but not 60 colors (see the breakdown of colors below).
2. 20 cents per scrunchie ($12 for 60 count) is a very good value.

I dislike:

1. Quality of each scrunchie is not great, on a number of scrunchies the fabric has threads pulled out of the fabric, and the fabric looks frayed.
2. Packaging is bad; the scrunchies were squished flat to the 1/4" width (probably vacuum packed), and some were stuck to the package. Not sure if the thread pulls are from the packaging damaging the fabric or if the damage happened while they were made.
3. The stock photo does not show that are 5 identical white scrunchies and 5 identical black scrunchies. In general, stock photo shows fewer repeated colors than the selection of colors that I got.
4. The fabric does not feel as nice as silk.

I was debating about the rating for this product, given several flaws. However, given the price, I really can't expect the scrunchies to be as nice as the ones that cost significantly more. So I decided it warrants a rating of 4 stars based on the 20 cents per scrunchie price. If the price were higher, my rating would be lower.

Product review: Haakong Coffee Filters Cone #2

 

I am using this filter for a pour-over coffee. It works well; it fits well. It is made out of paper, so it is compostable. This is an important consideration as I love using used coffee grinds in my composter.

What's the difference between #2 and #4 coffee filters?
A #2 coffee filter measures 6.25 inches wide and 4 inches tall. A #4 coffee filter is bigger and measures 7.5 inches wide by 5 inches tall.

These filters are 4.5" tall (measuring one side), so they fall between the true #2 and #4 filters. I like that the filter has a tab for easy opening and that the seam uses crimping rather than glue to hold the cone together. They come in very plain packaging, just a plastic bag, no box.

I use both sizes of filters in my pour-over set-up, but #2 is a better fit.

Product review: KIVERA Jojoba Oil + Vitamin E Hair Serum - Hair Growth Serum

 

This hair serum is a light oil. The instructions say it can be used on dry or wet hair. If I use too much, it makes my hair feel greasy. It comes in a small pump bottle (1.69 Oz). It has a light jojoba scent; the scent is not too intrusive.

So far, after one week of use, I do not see any difference in hair health or the number of broken hairs in the shower drain. I hope I see some improvement soon. I will update this review if improvements occur.

Product review: VIVO Keyboard Tray Under Desk Pull Out Tray

 

I got this tray because my desk is 27" wide with rounded edges and has a post in the middle, so a small clamp on keyboard tray was what I needed. This tray's solid area for the keyboard and mouse is 20" (which is quite tight). The tray is 25.5" wide with clamps, which are on the outside of the keyboard area. The entire tray barely fits. I have to use a smaller than standard keyboard to fit a mouse next to it.

How low the tray is below the desk is not adjustable. The drop is just 2 inches below the desk, 3" including the thickness of the desk. I got the tray to drop the keyboard for my 5'2" stature, and I would have preferred a 5" drop from the surface for the best ergonomic position with 90" elbow positions.

One big surprise was that the tray is not one solid piece of wood but comes as two pieces clamped together from below.   I  thought the wrong item was delivered when it arrived in a small box; I expected the box to be at least 20 inches wide.

The assembly was fairly simple; everything fit well, the keyboard moves smoothly, and the keyboard feels sturdy when I type.

Product review: AIRSIDUN Neck Massagers for Neck and Back with Heat Adjustable Strap Shoulder Massager

 

 This is a massage pillow with straps. The straps help me position the rotating balls on the exact spot that hurts, and I can control the pressure of the massage by pulling or relaxing my grip on the straps. I have a painful shoulder from working on the computer, and it is particularly effective on working the shoulders and the upper back. It is more comfortable than a hammer-type massager for self-massage because I can keep my hands relaxed while holding the strap handles. This massager is almost as effective as human physical therapy. I am finding it very helpful for my bad shoulder.

Review of AIRSIDUN Neck Shoulder Back Strap Massager

Product review: Noova Massage Gun for Neck, Back Shoulder and Foot, Lateral massager, strap massager

 

The unique feature of this massage gun is the lateral belt that gives me an easy and effective way to work the upper back and shoulders, which are my paint points from working on the computer 16 hours a day. I have used other massage guns in the past, and none are as comfortable and effective as this belt with attachments that are Velcroed to it.

In addition to the belt, the package includes six other attachments:
Large ball head, small ball head, flat head, bullet head, crescent head, and U-shaped head.

What could be better:
The manual included in the package is pretty pathetic. It does not describe how to attach heads or the belt. It does not contain any instructions on how to use each head (which muscle groups, what movements). I had to research on the internet to fill the void.

However, I loved the belt attachments, and the strong rating is based on how useful I find for my achy shoulders.
